Role: Data Insights Manager

Location: Hybrid - London or Milton Keynes (2 days/week on site)

IR35: Inside

Rate: £/day (Umbrella)

Duration: 6 months

Security Clearance: Active SC

The Data Insights Manager is a role within the IT Service Management department, reporting into the Senior Data Insights Manager. They will maintain the Data Insights processes, policies and procedures.

They will curate and maintain the IT Service Management Data Model and work with Product Teams and ITSM Capabilities to collate data from across the estate, ensuring data quality and coherence.

They will enable and support the organisation to deliver reporting and management information including sustainability considerations to senior leadership to support in insights driven decision making.

The Data Insights Manager is responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining Data Insights processes, policies, procedures.
  • Curating the ITSM Data Model, ensuring that data is of an appropriate quality, coherence and relevance.
  • Working with Product Teams to build Service Models and databases which will feed into the wider Data Model.
  • Supporting Product Teams and ITSM Capabilities to use the Data Model for Data Insights and service reporting via best practice, tools and templates.
  • Providing support and guidance to Product Teams and ITSM Capabilities in using the Data Model for Data Insights and service reporting via best practices, tools and templates.
  • Supporting in data analysis to support the development of strategic roadmaps and Policies including sustainability agendas.
  • Supporting Sustainability meetings and the submission of STAR reports
  • Signposting the IT Service Management organisation to Data Insights best practice, tools and templates.
  • Proactively focusing on continuous improvement of self and service, working with others to improve the user experience, simplify processes and improve efficiency of IT Services to enable the Government's diplomatic, development and consular work around the world.

We are looking for someone with strong technical skills and proven experience in Data Insights functions, who can demonstrate the skills outlined below:

  • Communicating Analysis and Insight (relevant skill level: working)
  • Performance Measurement (relevant skill level: working)
  • User Centred Analysis (relevant skill level: working)
  • Understanding Constraints (relevant skill level: working)
  • A minimum of ITIL Foundation is required for this role.
