SENIOR USER RESEARCHER

A well-established Design Studio that applies its craft to the Public Sector are on the market for User Researchers to join them on a long-term contract basis!

  • Remote Working (Occasional Trip to London)
  • 6 months Contract (View to Extend)
  • Inside IR35 (Competitive Rates)

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the nature of the work Contractors must be eligible for SC Clearance (provided by company)

THE ROLE

The Senior User Researcher will work on projects for the Home Office, Department for Education, NHS Digital and NHSX on a rotational basis (3-12 months per project) so if a great opportunity to broaden your knowledge.

  • Lead and direct complex, high value projects with a focus on ensuring all services are inclusive, accessible and planet-friendly.
  • Act as director on projects, pointing teams and clients in the right direction to deliver on scope and on budget.
  • Help define the way our disciplines work together (working with Research Ops, Service Design etc.), developing and implementing accessible, inclusive and planet-friendly user research practices.
  • You'll work closely with our clients and partners to spot and nurture opportunities springing from the work we do
  • Support the user research team (mentoring colleagues and contributing to recruitment activities etc.) having junior member report into you

SKILLS REQUIRED

As a User Researcher public sector experience is essential for this contract, working on projects for central or local government (Back Office platforms, public facing services etc.)

  • User centred/ethical approach to research
  • Confident in applying agile methods in practice
  • Can lead identification and development of appropriate research activities
  • Ability to lead the production of evidence for GDS assessments
  • An advocate for inclusive, accessible, and equitable product/services.
  • Can analyse and synthesise findings from user research to produce robust, evidence-based user stories
