Description

We are looking for a Category Manager to work for our Public Sector health care client.

Location: Remote working- Occasional travel to the midlands

Essential Skills:

The ideal candidate will have passion for Category management with the following skills:

  • Experience of working as part of a category team including category management strategy initiation, planning and development
  • Evidence of successful management of large spend and delivery of consistent value to a complex customer base
  • Knowledge and experience in managing and mitigating risks
  • Experienced in running complex, large-scale public-sector procurement exercises
  • In-depth experience in procurement, operations, or a related field.
  • Experience of the application and delivery of cost management principles and category management processes.
  • Knowledge of OJEU and PCR2015

Desirable skills:

  • Previous experience of and knowledge of procurement within the health care industry
  • Demonstrable experience of working in collaboration with a wide range of public sector organisations including government regulatory experience.
  • Professional membership of CIPS or MCIPS qualified
