Description
My NHS client is looking for a Band 7 Interim Community Mental Health Team manager to replace a substantive member of staff for a 3 month contractThe successful candidate will have an RMN or similar clinical background with experience in mental health.
Reporting to Operational Manager the post holder will be responsible for:
- The clinical management of the Community Mental Health Team, line managing all staff (excluding doctors).
- Working in conjunction with team members of all disciplines to provide a seamless, safe and comprehensive health and social care service.
- Championing the Trust Recovery and Social Inclusion strategy in the team.
- Managing the Trust and Social Services allocated resources in conjunction with the Operational Manager
- Maintaining clinical involvement with the team by, in conjunction with senior team members, providing guidance and supervision to staff working with people with complex needs.
- Ensuring that appropriate professional advice and consultation is available and sought to ensure all patients receive appropriate multi-disciplinary treatment.
Training & Qualifications
- Professional qualification appropriate to mental health or social care
- Evidence of Post Registration and CPD
Experience
- Demonstrable experience of health or social care management
- Experience of managing staff and resources
- Experience adult mental health
