Background

The programme is a project set up to look at the various compliance issues the bank faces.

There are several issues across multiple products which the bank has to fix and also consider remediating customers for their loss.

Provisions have been made in the statutory accounts to cover any future remediation and costs the Bank expects to suffer as a result of the identified issues.
-
This is a high profile project in a fast paced environment.
The Role
We are looking for a general all round Finance Business Partner who is willing to be hands on and use their own initiative. They will become a Subject Matter Expert on the project especially around redress issues and timing of payments/provisions.
Skills Required

Excellent excel skills and experience of modelling high quantities of data required.

The provisioning model is highly complex and requires both regular updates and advancements.

Strong analytical skills - understanding and interpreting the data to ensure accuracy

FS experience is required - to understand complex issues around charging interest, statement dates and impact of redressing customers
Attention to detail - The successful candidate will also be involved in financial reconciliations in terms of both setting up the process and performing the reconciliation.
Tasks Include

Responsible for owning and updating the provision model

Updating model on weekly basis for actual redress payments

Forecasting model for redress payments by account and value

Forecasting model for unrealised interest

Forecasting project delivery costs
-
Month-end processing and accruals/journals for project delivery costs
-
Qualified Accountant with FS experience required
