Senior Relationship Manager, Payments - London

We are a major global payments organisation, currently seeking a Senior Relationship Manager to join one of its clients in the banking industry for a contract position, based in London.

Key Deliverables & Accountabilities:

  • Work with my client to optimise commercial benefit for client; covering both volume incentive agreements and fee reduction negotiations.

  • Working with the Head of Payment Schemes and the Heads of Products to manage Commercial and Contract negotiations and pro-actively manage existing agreements.

  • Manage day to day relationships with the client to ensure they meet in year objectives.

  • Accountable for Interchange Income of £100mn and scheme fees of £5m

  • Ensure the client is proactive in offering clients forward nation' status on use of propositions and in presenting new products and propositions for clients' adaption.

  • Influence scheme changes for benefit of our strategic business objectives

  • Provide internal centre of excellence on all Payment Scheme issues

  • Risk Management

  • Escalate identified risk in accordance with end clients internal governance and controls.

  • Ensure there are no reputational risk implications as a result of activity within this role

  • Implement and maintain business continuity plan for this role. Maintain Critical Incident Management process.

  • Ensure all activity is consistent with.

Experience:

  • An appropriate marketing/numerical degree or equivalent

  • 3 plus years experience of the payments industry, preferably Commercial payments
