Field Debt Manager - 6 months - Nottingham - Negotiable Daily Rate

A leading Energy and Utilities client of Hyphen is looking for a Field Debt Operations Manager to join their site in Nottingham.

Job Purpose:-

To develop, direct, lead, control and motivate a high performing value driven and cost effective Field Debt Operation (office and field based) that successfully delivers the business strategy through effective customer contact that pro-actively seeks to educate existing and past customers in order to:
*Maximise the cash collected for the £ spent
*Deliver great customer service and minimise/eliminate bad debt impacts
*Secures ongoing payment for future consumption
*Lead, role model and deliver excellence in Safety, Health and well Being in Field and across wider Credit Management.
*Resolve issues with data quality, incorrect records and reasons for non collection
*Continuously enhance the overall operational performance
*Deliver the MTP
*Work within social obligations for fuel poverty and vulnerable customers and debt recovery approaches permitted

Key Skills/Experience Required:-

*A minimum of 5 years operational and risk management experience in Credit and Debt management in a large consumer or financial services company
*A good understanding of credit and debt management best practice in the UK
*Experience in implementing change in debt management processes and controls
*High energy level, performance driven and good communicator
*Robust and resilient
*Knowledge of commercial, contract and company law, regulatory, legal and practice industry constraints to debt collection activities
*Developed verbal, critical and numerical reasoning skills developed in a complex organisational environment
*Competent in the management, performance management and co-ordination of employees within field based teams
*Good facilitation, presentation and influencing skills
*A proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment
*Demonstrable commitment to providing first class customer service
*Unstinting drive and energy to succeed and create excellence in all aspects of the role
*The ability to create & successfully implement change
*The ability to build & influence effective working relationships at all levels within & outside the organisation
*Knowledge of Business continuity, Health, Safety and Environment plans in a field based work force
*Experience of working with and driving the day to day activities of third party providers, eg DCAs, locksmiths and dog handlers
