Description
Neurology is the branch of medicine concerned with the study and treatment of disorders of the nervous system. The nervous system is a complex, sophisticated system that regulates and coordinates body activities.For this position our client requires an MD or D.O with direct experience in the following:
- Central nervous system: the brain and spinal cord
- Demyelinating diseases of the central nervous system, in relation to multiple sclerosis
- Headache disorders
- Seizure disorders in MS
- Neurodegenerative disorders, such as Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (Lou Gehrig's disease)
Educational requirements:
- M.D. or D.O. degree (doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy degree)
- 3+ Years' experience in internal medicine or medicine/surgery environment and/or NHS experience
- At least 3 years of specialty training in Multiple Sclerosis in an accredited neurology residency program
- Direct experience treating MS patients in a clinical / medical setting
- Additional training or interest in one area of neurology, such as stroke, epilepsy, neuromuscular, sleep medicine, pain management, or movement disorders.
- This role will initially start as a part time position.
- Flexible / remote working will be available.
