Senior Procurement Manager - Leeds

Duration: 6 months

A Senior Procurement Manager is required for a 6 month contract based in Leeds.

The suitable Senior Procurement Manager will have 5-10 years experience working in a Procurement Manager position, as well as recent experience working in the public sector (ideally NHS) and must hold an MCIPS certification. The Senior Procurement Manager will also need specialist knowledge of EU Procurement Directives and NHS/Government policies. The Senior Procurement Manager must have previously be able to show where they have previously developed a procurement strategy and have resource planning and management experience.

For the role the Senior Procurement Manager will also require the following skills and experience:

Managing complex stakeholder relationships

Managing people and supplier relationships to achieve business objectives.

Procurement experience including previous experience in negotiation, developing tender materials, specifications, evaluation models, pricing approach etc.

Performance management and measurement

Budgetary management public sector procurement experience

Understanding Government policy initiatives that impact procurement
Category Management development and execution
