Fund Accountants X2, NAV Processing, Financial Reporting

My client, a leading international Financial Institution, has two openings for Fund Accountants within their UK Fund Accounting Team. The roles require report production for numerous fund clients of the company, including client and audit collaboration. One position is NAV processing orientated, with the second focusing on financial reporting.

Principal Responsibilities

• To produce UT, OEIC, and CIF interim and final report and accounts, including sign-off of distribution rates and proofing of SORP accounts to the required standard. Other related processes also fall within this role.
• To produce NAVs (most daily) for multiple Unit Trusts, OEICs, and Common Inv Funds.
• To reconcile Funds to related Custody accounts for all currencies within a specified time frame.
• To produce monthly reporting for onward transmission to the Trustees and answering any queries posed within specific timeframes in a prompt and professional manner.
• Take the necessary corrective and preventative actions to ensure all deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Communicate professionally & effectively with other NT Departments, Trustees/Depositaries, Custodians, Auditors, and Clients (the Fund Management Companies to which we provide a service), ensuring that they are more than satisfied at all times.
• Continually assess processes to improve efficiency, reduce risk or cost, as well as to increase job satisfaction.

Skills/Experience

• Proven knowledge and experience in a financial services environment including Unit Trust, OEICs and/or Investment Trusts' report & accounts production.
• As an absolute minimum the job holder should have passed the required FCA Training & Competence exams
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Able to work under pressure to achieve the timetabled deadlines for delivery to our clients.
• Computer literacy (including strong spreadsheet skills with Excel).
• An awareness of the FCA regulations pertaining to Unit Trusts and Open Ended Investment Companies (OEICs) ie COLL, the 2010 SORP and key changes in the updated 2014 SORP.
