I am looking to hire a Finance Director for our public sector client.

Public sector health experience with an emphasis on performance, planning and delivery,

CCAB accountancy qualification

Experience Required

The interim will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the South Regional Office finance function (5 people), reporting into the South Region Finance Director.

The Head of Finance will ensure the timely delivery of the financial information, including: - month end financial performance - quarterly assurance - capital allocations and use across the South - the prioritisaion and review of business cases for the Primary Care Infrastructure Fund/Primer Ministers Challenge Fund They will work with the Finance Directors and Heads of Finance in the local offices and the Heads of Finance in other regions and the national team.

Health sector Finance experience at Senior (band 9 level) or above is essential and their finance experience should be from a commissioning or provider setting. They will be required to be credible and able to liaise directly with the CFO and the Regional Director and team.

They must have strong financial management and communication skills in order to ensure that a robust understanding of the financial position of the region is maintained so corrective aciton can be taken. They will need to be able to think strategically and influence the national agenda. The interim appointment will be for a period of 3 months and interviews will take place on 27 July.
