Huxley Engineering are recruiting on behalf of a prestigious client based within the rail sector. They have just secured a new project to last a minimum of 6 months, but are looking likely to continue on for 18 months. Because of this project, they are looking to get a contract Quality Manager added to the existing large quality team to ensure delivery of Quality into the project.
You will be accountable for managing Quality issues that arise within this fast paced environment, leading the problem solving associated and manage the customer's expectations. You will have a strong background working in Rail as well as civil construction projects where you worked with reinforced concrete, cladding, steel pilings and some track.
Ideally you will have a formal qualification at HND or Degree level in Mechanical Engineering. You will be very experienced solving problems using 8D and similar methods and have a profound understanding of QMS within SAP.
The following is required:
- 8D and FMEA knowledge would be very advantageous
- Experience working ISO9001
- SAP systems experience
- Rail experience is ESSENTIAL, ideally you will have experience working on CrossRail or HS2
Ideal candidates will have excellent analytical skills and posses the ability to interpret complex customer requirements. Further more you must be happy to work autonomously as well as in a team. A high degree of both written and verbal skills will be required due to the types of reports you will be expected to produce.
