Description
An investment bank based in the City of London is looking for a Regulatory On-boarding Analyst to join its prime brokerage arm. This is a 6 month contract, with a strong likelihood of extension, offering up to £290/day.
The successful candidate will join the team responsible for supporting the client on-boarding process with the regulatory categorisation of clients. The analyst will act as an expert for business lines, play a major role in proposing new solutions to improve the department's processes, and daily liaise with the compliance, tax and legal departments, and other on-boarding or KYC analysts within the organisation.
Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
- Reviewing client tax documentation
- Ensuring that US IRS withholding certificated (Forms W-8 or W-9) or substitute forms are complete, correct and validated in compliance with FATCA.
- Classifying clients under regulations such as FATCA, MiFID, Dodd-Frank and EMIR.
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
- Degree or equivalent in a Business or Legal field
- Familiarity with US IRS withholding certificates (Forms W-8 or W-9) requirements
- Strong familiarity with FATCA regulations, IGAs, CRS and implementing requirements
- Understanding of corporate documents
- Knowledge of on-boarding and KYC processes
- Demonstrated ability to deliver a high level of client service
