Requirements
- Establish and cultivate excellent media relationships with editors and leading correspondents across Europe (i.e. New York Times, BBC, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Businessweek, Financial Times, Forbes, Thomson Reuters)
- Support and maintain PR relations with overseas branches
- Drive and develop strategic communication programmes to increase global brand awareness
- Formulate and implement media strategies
- Organize and facilitate media visits and events
- Develop and copy edit media - including news releases, spokesperson bio’s, fact sheets, etc
- Manage all aspects of media affairs with relevant internal departments
- Collaborate with PR agency partners to manage projects and budgets
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in a prestigious or well-known international organization, as a public relations or media affairs consultant
- Industry experience in major Fortune 500 PR agencies and Tier-1 telecommunications/ICT
- Rich experience in architecting high-level strategies, operations, and media affairs
- Excellent existing relationships with top business and trade media organizations locally
- Wealth of experience in public relation
- Experience briefing executives for interviews and large public events
- Flexible for frequent travel within the USA
