Description
Procurement Specialist with part or full CIPS qualification required for excellent opportunity with utilities client in Glasgow.
You will be required to:
- Undertake procurement initiatives - preparing tender documents, evaluating responses, negotiating with suppliers and managing e-auctions to deliver contracts that provide measurable benefit
- Carry out procurements in compliance with EU and Scottish Executive regulations and guidance. Ensure evaluations are fair, objective and documented.
- Provide forecasting and planning information to key stakeholders and suppliers
- Contract management of the appointed framework suppliers
- Extensive supplier management
Skills required:
- CIPS - fully or part-qualified only
- Extensive supplier management experience
- Experience of achieving cost savings on procurements
- Experience of conducting different types of procurements
- Experience of leading/managing tenders and carrying out strategic procurements
- Public Sector/OJEU experience would be advantageous, although not essential
