Description

My Client is a major energy client and they are looking for a Senior Buyer. The role will assist the Category Manager in delivery of Category Strategies identifying future commercial opportunities. They are looking for candidates with experience in OJEU tenders, end to end strategic sourcing experience, analytical skills, strong negotiation and influential skills.

The role will assist the Category Manager in delivery of Category Strategies identifying future commercial opportunities. The Buyer is accountable for delivery of strategic sourcing events within their portfolio, engaging with and building strong working relationships with key stakeholders from across the business and supporting the development of Category Strategies. Also, Responsible for managing multiple contracts to ensure the successful delivery of contracted activities, identifying continuous improvement opportunities through engagement with suppliers and stakeholders, and maximising value for money from contracts awarded. Utilising Strategic Sourcing Toolkit generating savings that impact the bottom line and ensuring contractual arrangements drive performance, capture value and manage risk.

Key Skills required

* A strong procurement background
* Experience of negotiating terms and conditions
* Experience of running tender events
* Commercial analysis experience
* Understanding terms and conditions
* NEC or FIDIC experience/Construction experience
* Pricing analysis
* OJEU experience would be ideal
