Description
We have a fantastic opportunity with our public sector client for an experienced internal Auditor who can be based in Edinburgh or Glasgow. You may be expected to travel on occasion to meet business needs.
The successful candidate will be expected to adherence to Terms of Reference (which includes target dates for project milestones) for audit assignments delegated to them and work under the direction of an internal audit manager.
You will be expected to lead and manage (plan, perform and communicate the results from) audit engagements in accordance with internal audit standards, finance manuals, internal audit charter and not documents.
Essential skills for this post -
- A specialism in a facet of audit, eg IT; Financial Management; Contract Management; Risk Management; Governance; Risk.
- Knowledge of the internal/external auditing in the UK public sector.
- Managing and Leading experience including people management
- Experience of delivering outcomes
- Communications and Engagement
- Analysis and Use of Evidence
- Financial Management
