Eden Scott’s prestigious banking client based in Glasgow city centre have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst to join their Enterprise Data Services team.

You will have a passion for using data to drive business decisions, and you will lead the production of system requirements for Data Warehouse, Batch Integration and Master Data Management Applications.

Responsibilities:

• Support various Technology Functions, the wider business community and our delivery partners to shape requirements for application design that meets both operational and strategic needs.
• Transformation of business requirements into quality technical system requirements
• Understand the various business operations across the Bank and delivering actionable insights based on data analysis
• Demonstrating a strong subject matter expertise through analysis of information requirements on complex data-driven projects
• Translating complex system designs into easily understood representations of the data flows/processes through Logical data models
• Creating source to target data mappings and collating metadata to develop data dictionaries
• Managing Project Stakeholders, both in Technology and across the Business, to achieve the best outcomes for the Bank.
• Leading continuous improvement initiatives by delivering analysis to industry best practice to further strengthen our analysis capability

Experience required:
• Demonstrate experience with the following: data integration, data quality and master data management technologies
• Pedigree in Data Analysis with strong SQL skills
• Exposure to logical data modelling and source to target data mapping
• Confidence in your own abilities and the emotional maturity to lead through challenging conversations
• Ability to converse in a technical and non-technical manner
• Good understanding of software development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile etc.)
• Good understanding of dimensional modelling

Desirable:

• Previous Financial Services or Banking experience
• Experience of Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence applications and technologies
• Experience of Agile methodology on projects
• Experience of working with third party delivery partners
