Description

Our client, global provider of complex, integrated power systems and services to the aerospace and marine/industrial power systems markets is currently looking for a Materials Resource Planning Controller (MRPC) to join their team in Derby.

As the MRPC you will be create, maintain and communicate detailed delivery plans of specific part orders. You will also provide the Off-Load Programme Manager, with the implications of meeting customer requirements

Core duties and responsibilities:
Advise the maintenance of component planning data that will enable cascade of demand through the supply chain, resulting in a committed plan.
Plan and manage stock across the supply chain, ensuring levels specified are maintained and are used in the appropriate order and time frame.
Ensure that specified supplier delivery commitments are reflected in SAP and that paperwork and information transfer in relation to all part movements are compliant with business and regulatory requirements.
You will respond to supplier enquiries and manage adherence of schedule lines to ensure delivery of plan, including new parts introduction.
You will also be the primary interface with suppliers to lead and co-ordinate all improvement activity associated with planning, control, inventory, delivery and lead time and resolving any unverified invoice queries and associated cost changes as a result of schedule changes
To lead business reviews with their suppliers ensuring that requirements are being met
Manage new product introduction
To provide input to Product Change Board meetings
To manage and coordinate delivery issues, reporting shortages and recovery programmes to meet the plan. Manage the impact and escalate issues as required
Support the Master scheduler through SORB process to obtain Commitment Acceptance with suppliers for their part number portfolio

Required Skills:
Experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing or Logistics discipline and working knowledge of production planning and controls (ideally shop floor)
Understanding of the requirements of the quality system, inventory control and IT systems.
You must be an excellent communicator
Previous experience dealing with Suppliers
Experience in engineering sourcing and method change or equivalency
SAP
Customer focus with an understanding of service delivery and client management
Excellent levels of verbal and written communication
