E-commerce Channel Development Manager: B2B/O2O Lubricants: World Leading Oil & Gas Co

World Leading Global Energy Oil Company has an exciting opportunity for an E-commerce Channel Development Manager to take on a newly created role, responsible for unlocking significant value in Global Lubricants through development of E-commerce as an indirect sales channel.

This role has the opportunity to leave a significant Legacy by exceeding agreed targets in developing a new indirect route-to-market for Lubricants.

The Manager is open to consider candidates that wish to work virtually.

About the Role:

- To lead the strategy and development of E-commerce as an indirect sales channel for three E-commerce areas: O2O (Online to Offline) transactions, Online Shops, B2B platforms
- Bring in external expertise to develop the business plan for each focus area, run pilot markets for each concept, refine and roll-out globally
- To lead the implementation of E-commerce activity
- To support and drive colleagues in regional and local teams to achieve and maintain significant financial return through E-commerce channels
- Develop an active understanding of E-commerce trends and best practice in related categories, and leverage this insight as part of the lubricants E-commerce strategy
- Single point accountability for building the strategy by working with various experts, digital agencies, consultants and local marketing teams. Focal point for large E-commerce companies (eg Amazon) for indirect sales
- Complete the landscape review for each area - mapping detail on key competitors and models in key markets
- Map the path to purchase for target consumers/customers and integrate with Route-To-Market
- Co-ordinate with a small multifunctional team and specialist consultants to formalise the strategy
- Develop, own and execute the detailed business plan for each focus area, coaching market teams on execution within the local marketing plan

About You:

- Seasoned digital and E-commerce professional with 5+ years direct knowledge of developing online sales and marketing platforms, ideally in a related category (eg tyres, building products) and with both B2B and B2C application.
- Experience in significant influencing without having direct authority across a wide range of cultural backgrounds
