Description

As a manufacturing engineer you will be responsible for providing manufacturing engineering support within Operations with an initial assignment to Clean and Pack, this will include process validations, process development, process improvements, asset reliability, new product introductions and capacity expansion.

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Clare

Salary: €45,000- €55,000 depending on experience

Day-to-day responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer:
  • Support operation deliverables through in Terms of Quality, Service and Cost across the various phases of the Clean and Pack process.
  • Troubleshooting and technical support of process, materials and equipment operation.
  • Drive process validation activities.
  • Establishing process methods and controls which meet performance and quality requirements.
  • Performing asset reliability studies and design out failure modes.
  • Support and lead corrective/preventative actions driven by CAPA.
  • Responsible for the preparation, maintenance and control of procedures detailing product processing work steps.
  • Developing a wide variety of applications, including clean and packaging, machining, finishing operations.
  • Developing project plans and schedules for improvement work activities.
  • Liaise with NPI Project Managers and support the introduction of new products, in line with project plans


Skills & Attributes needed as the Manufacturing Engineer:
  • Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Production Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in an engineering role preferably in a clean and pack industry environment
  • Ability to effectively work within a team and cross functionally to expedite completion of critical tasks.
  • Demonstrates good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with control procedures, such as the Engineering Change Notification (ECN) and Deviation process, Engineering Specifications (ESs), and Laboratory Procedures (ZLPs).
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite; Statistical Process Control skills
  • Proficient in process development and validations in Medical Device Manufacturing or other highly regulated industry.
  • CNC programming, Computer Aided Design Systems, and Unigraphics 3-D modeling software would be an advantage
