Description

As the IT Manager you will lead the delivery of IT applications, application integration, databases and testing. This will include the delivery methodology, resource strategy, delivery of IT application solutions in line with IT roadmaps and 3rd line support.

What you will be doing...

You will lead the development and adoption of the IT different application delivery methodologies (or SDLC) - from analysis of business requirements through design, build and test with a clear linkage through to the service introduction. You will also lead the IT application delivery resource strategy ensuring best use of internal resources versus partners, driving best value from IT partners and ensuring the appropriate mix of flexibility and risk. Within this role you will have the overall responsibility for the selection and adoption of IT application delivery tools and technologies in line with the overall IT roadmap. You will also have the overall responsibility for IT application information input to IT Programmes & Projects including estimating, resource planning and application delivery updates. You will also develop and maintain a high performing organisation including high levels of productivity and quality. In addition to creating an environment that reflects the values of TUI in order to attract and retain high calibre people.

Experience
  • Broad IT experience covering IT programmes, development and operations
  • Specific experience of the different IT application delivery methodology (SDLC) definition and adoption
  • Specific experience of IT application delivery management including forecasting, planning and reporting
  • Specific experience of IT application delivery resource strategy definition and delivery
  • Specific experience of large scale IT application delivery to time, cost and quality
  • Track record of successful delivery across all areas of IT
  • Clear commercial acumen related to IT activity
  • Proven capability to meet and exceed performance targets
  • Proven leader and motivator of IT staff
  • Experience of board level relationship management
  • Strong team player with ability to provide leadership, challenge and coaching
  • Progressive forward thinker, looking to actively improve price/performance via new methods and driving a mentality of continuous improvement
  • Ability to challenge the business requirements in order to deliver solutions that meet the agreed cost and benefits
  • Understands customer needs and look at pro-active ways of delivering
