Provide a wide range of technological oversight, coordination and assistance for Energy Management System replacement including:
  • Tracking hardware, software, networks, Firewalls and system configuration issues, in coordination with vendors.
  • Providing support for the new system build and staging in SCADA/EMS environment.
  • Adhering to Change Control and Configuration Management practices as defined by the company.
  • Coordinating systems integration.
Responsibilities:
  • Plans and coordinates all aspects of technical/infrastructure build (install, configure, change management, support testing activities, implement, support eight week build warrantee period) from initiation through design and delivery.
  • Serves as liaison between technical and non-technical teams, in internal organizations as well as in client and vendor/subcontractor organizations, to ensure targets and requirements are met.
  • Create, maintain and support extensive build and test environments (Development/Integration/Staging).
  • Support and enhance build and release processes through automation using a combination of processes, existing tools and enhancements.
  • Coordinate release activities with internal groups such as Release Management, Project Management, QA, and System Development teams to ensure a smooth and trouble-free roll out of releases.
  • Manage, deploy and support multiple concurrent releases through various test environments.
  • Manage and maintain multiple test environments, ensuring that these environments are properly setup, configured, and available as scheduled.
  • Trace complex build problems, release issues and environment issues in a multi-component environment. Applies technical knowledge to drive and/or resolve highly complex technical issues.Monitors work of assigned team, providing technical and analytical support and direction.
  • Manages risks, issues/problems, and activity progress to ensure goals are achieved. Assists with problem resolution or risk mitigation as needed.
SKILLS:

Skills/Qualifications:
  • BS in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science or related field is required.
  • Candidates NEED TO HAVE at least 5 - 10 years experience.
  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills including systems development and implementation experience in a SCADA/EMS environment.
  • Experience with software build tools, Scripting languages and other software skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Operating System.
  • Maintaining SCADA/EMS systems.
  • Working knowledge of telecommunications, RTUs, and end devices.
  • Work experience in the utility industries.
  • Creates acceptance test plans and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience with Active Directory
