Description
Axis Animation require an experienced IT Technician capable of handling operational tasks in support of bothgeneral IT systems and in the operation of render farm systems.
The IT Technician will work alongside the IT Manager and Render Manager and will be responsible for installing and maintaining computer systems within Axis Animation in Glasgow and AxisVFX in Bristol and generally servicing the IT infrastructure needs of our growing business.
Required skillsets:
CentOS / Redhat Linux
Samba and NFS configuration in multiplatform environment
Windows 7 Pro
Windows Server OS and Active Directory
Desirable:
Python coding
Shell scripting
LAN/WAN networking
Type of person:
Experience in a user-facing technical environment with good communication skills
Analytical and problem-solving abilities
An understanding of the challenging nature of the animation/VFX industry and the ability to perform under pressure
