Description

I am currently working with a business in the Swindon area who are looking for a contract .NET Developer with Windows PC and SQLite experience.

The contract itself will be for 3 months initially and the successful candidate will be developing/maintaining a Windows .NET application that runs on a PC, but this tool manipulates SQLite database(s) in SQL that is used by an embedded device.

In addition to development of the programming, they will be performing the following daily activities, using the following tools:
  • Interfacing with project manager, global software development team, QA associates, and product manager
  • Maintaining specification documents in MS Office
  • Prototyping concepts for project lead and product management
  • Working as part of a global project team following agile practices using scrum
  • Source code control in git and/or Subversion
  • Scrum-based task and team management using Trac (for defect & task ticket management, burndown chart, and wiki)


Key skill sets required:
  • C# programming and .NET 4.0 application development
  • UI prototyping and development using Windows Forms, utilizing MS Dev Studio
  • Object-oriented analysis & design
  • Database concepts and SQL programming for an SQLite embedded database
  • Serial protocols and programming (preferred)
  • Networking concepts & sockets programming (preferred)
  • Conventional version control/configuration management practices
