An opportunity for a Gas Trading Analyst has arisen at a Global Energy company in Reading. The exciting opportunity has come about within the Europe Gas Marketing (EGM) Division whose role is to market gas production and manage LNG imports to be able to deliver optimisation and trading value from the wider European portfolio.

WHATS ON OFFER:

  • Provide ad hoc analysis as requested both within the team and by GEMS;
  • Manage EGM's gas storage modelling and valuations;

The Successful Candidate will have:
  • In-depth experience of gas market analysis is essential;
  • Strong commercial skills and a desire to help BG deliver value for shareholders;
  • An innovator with a track record of identifying and gaining approval for trading strategies;
  • Advanced Excel and quantitative modelling skills, with proven aptitude for developing new and/or more efficient analytical models (including Visual Basic);
  • Experience in producing papers and presentations for senior management;
  • An individual who will collaborate, challenge and influence a wide range of EGM, GEMS and BG stakeholders;
  • A "hands-on", disciplined self-starter who is confident working under pressure and with potentially ambiguous sources of information.
