Financial Reporting Analyst

Working with a Financial Services Organisation, you will be supporting as part of a business transformation project. You will spend time modelling, interpreting, forecasting and reporting on information, for reporting purposes. You will have the opportunity to use and develop your skills in a variety of applications, ranging from internal financial MI to support business decisions, to statutory accounting and reporting procedures. You will add value through your ability to understand and communicate with others about this subject.
Carrying out financial analysis and compiling reports for various Financial Reporting purposes including:
Preparatory work for statutory returns and/or report and accounts,
Internal and/or external audits, reports, forecasts and reviews, Input to strategy and operational planning processes, validation, aggregation and analysis of financial performance data and production of financial MI and accompanying commentary.
You will also be expected to analyse financial and business data/information using a variety of proven statistical and other analytical techniques to identify trends, anomalies, gaps, etc
The successful applicant will also be preparing forecasts and reports on both a regular and ad hoc basis to meet the needs of internal customers and stakeholders along with running and/or contributing to the development of financial models, forecasts and analytical processes to meet business needs. You will also be working alongside, leading and motivating a team of analysts.
Candidates are required to hold a Business, Financial or Statistical degree, or equivalent along with holding previous roles with high levels of analytical content with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
