The MS SQL DBA is part of the IT Systems department WINTEL. It provides design, monitoring, operation
and implementation of computer based services. It ensures optimum availability, security and performance of
server and database infrastructure within a global scope.
- Guarantee the seamless availability of the Server Side infrastructure components in a complex and dynamic
environment; providing services on a global scale, while adhering to technical standards and strict security
guidelines.
- Provide expert advice regarding a specific technical field of IT.
- Execute specialised tasks involved in maintaining the complete MS SQL environment
located in Brussels Hub and/or at location with global customers, in order to provide all sites with fully
operational systems at the highest availability rate, featuring the best cost/benefit ratio and minimum
interruption of the business applications depending on these database solutions.
- Design and control the implementation of Data
Key skills:
- Broad knowledge of the respective Database systems and associated components:
- MS SQL Server 2008,2012,2014,2016 including reporting services, SSIS etc..
- You are very familiar with MS SQL HA solutions
- Experience in installation, tuning and troubleshooting of Database systems.
- Thorough knowledge of the relevant subsystems
- Medium programming or Scripting experience
- Experience in IT system and/or application administrator is a plus
- English fluent
