Description

AdmitHub provides students with free expert college admissions advising via a text message-based chatbot, known as Oli. In short, Oli is like Siri specifically for college admissions. Oli combines machine learning with human experts in college admissions. We are seeking someone with experience with Chatbots, AIML, and Natural Language Processing to help us take Oli to the next level.

Skills & Requirements

We are looking for people passionate about using software to help all students everywhere.

  • 1-7+ years of professional development experience is required
  • Proficiency in a modern web framework (Node, Ruby-on-Rails, or Django) is essential
  • Contributions to open source software projects are always a plus
  • Experience scaling a web application - ideally in Node or Meteor - is a plus
  • Experience with Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning is also important

About AdmitHub

AdmitHub is an early stage startup (14 months old) with 15,000 users and 15 paying college partners. We have a tight-knit technical team, including one of our co-founders. Our stack is a combination of Node and Meteor with a MongoDB database.

Our team currently includes four developers, one designer, a wordsmith, a director of partnerships, and a former Ivy League admissions officer. Help us with our mission to provide all students free access to expert admissions advising on our website and via text message.
