Description
The largest MySQL Database environment in the world is in need of an exceptional individual who can hit the ground running and keep the lights on for this multi billion dollar, transact intensive Internet phenomenon. This is an exceptional opportunity to work on a challenging project and be responsible for the design, architecture & development of a new data store which is vital to the business.
You will be working in the company's state of the art, global headquarters in Dublin on a new & cutting edge E-commerce database system. You will coordinate with several different teams including the engineering and development teams to ensure all production databases are highly available, scalable and secure and help to design additions to this high volume database environment.
Some required skills/experience -
- Experience with Highly Available database clusters
- Experience in relation database schema design
- Minimum 5 years commercial experience as a DBA manager or lead in a large E-commerce environment.
- MySQL certification a distinct advantage.
