We are looking for a Virtualization Specialist to be part of a Global IT Company!
You will be a Network System Analyst in an employee driven Company in Prague, Czech Republic, that put you at the centre of their value, whose main interests are trust and transparency. A big company that achieved extraordinary results in terms of Profit, Revenue and Market Capitalization.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Network Specialist you will be responsible for configuration, validation, qualification and administration of company's Private Cloud Virtualization Platforms; you will also be responsible for Level 4 support of all technical issues related to Private Cloud Infrastructure. You will organize and coordinate the activities associated with installation, deployment, and upgrade or repairs to Virtualization Platforms and related infrastructure. You will also consult with and make recommendations to Architecture Team, Service Manager, and Project Teams deploying applications on the company VMWare environment and design, coordinate and execute migrations to Private Cloud Platforms. You will also improve, track progress, and make recommendations on Infrastructure Improvements, imaging, and new releases and help in sizing and validating solution design.
You will provide technical expertise for planning and defining upgrade requirements. You will manage Security rights and privileges to ensure access control is configured to maximize resource output while maintaining the best level of security possible and coordinate with Quality Managers to ensure that all required processes and procedures are followed and deviations/exception are documented properly.
Who is the ideal candidate?
To be the ideal candidate for this Virtualization job, you will have years of relevant experience, years of Virtualization (VMware) and Cloud technologies and experience with Converged and Hyper-converged infrastructure architecture, design, deployment and operations. You will have experience in infrastructure architecture and design of complex distributed systems environments, including failover techniques, recovery/rollback, and application partitioning and experience in a technical lead role for small- or medium-size teams. You will have sound knowledge of Enterprise Storage, Networking and Security and Basic knowledge of Service Management (ITIL) through experience or certification. Experience of working in GxP/SOX qualified environments and working in a Matrix organization including off-shore teams are required. You will be capable of managing projects related to Private Cloud Infrastructure projects with either local or global scope and capable of taking technical lead role for category A and B projects with more than 4 indirect reports. You will be able to act as subject matter expert for cloud based computing and to ensure Private Cloud Infrastructure operations are aligned with strategies of GIS to ensure support for the future technology roadmap. You will have proven capability and experience in leading projects and resources. You will be agreeable to travel (globally) as required
