Middleware Administrator MQ/Jboss/W.A.S/Multi-platform/Scripting/Shell/Perl
For a Multi-National Client we are currently looking for a Senior Level Middleware Administrator with extensive product knowledge of WebSphere MQ and Jboss. As a Middleware Administrator you will be part of the Middleware Team. Your primary responsibility will be to provide Middleware technical support across a multi-platform infrastructure.
Specific responsibilities include:
* installing Middleware software, understanding the performance and resilience characteristics of the key hardware/software components and ability to follow standard procedures
* support, maintain and up-date the File-transfer Infrastructure
* support, maintain and up-date the Application Server Infrastructure
* document standards and best practices
* providing day-to-day support for the production and development systems and activities in a structured manner
* carrying out performance and tuning at Application Server level, demonstrating an understanding of application level issues
* maintaining monitoring systems to provide 24x7 cover
* modifying and maintaining existing scripts to handle changes in infrastructure
Core technical skills:
* WebSphere MQ Series product knowledge
* Development skills using Unix Shell and Perl Scripting, PHP, HTML and JavaScript
* Knowledge of RedHat JBoss Middleware
* Knowledge of IBM WebSphere AS
* support message and file transfers on Unix, Windows and Linux platforms using multiple protocols
* writing technical documents
* understanding of security
* understanding of network, multi-user access and locking issues
