Description

We are currently looking for an independent contractor WordPress web designer to establish a long term working relationship with. Expected hours are 15-20 per week.

The company was recently acquired and focuses on selling web site design and internet marketing services to the marine Industry. The contractor does not have to be local to our area and the expectation is to work from home / remotely. Our team will address the obtainment of client requirements and desired design preferences of which will be documented and passed to the contractor for development.

We are not interested in working with a company but rather an individual that has availability and is dedicated to their work. Over the past several months we have had a steady flow of new customers that require from 15-20 hours of week effort and we anticipate this number to grow.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience working in web development and interface design

  • Strong knowledge of WordPress

  • Working knowledge of current web development languages (including HTML5, CSS3, PHP/MySQL)

  • Familiarity with web standards and usability

  • Flexibility and eagerness to identify, learn, and use new and changing technologies

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of Social Media marketing and advertising

  • Demonstrable design experience for web sites, social networks, and web commerce.

  • Skills in graphic design.

  • Familiarity with video for web

  • Past experience in using the various top selling ThemeForest themes (Elegant, Salient, etc)
