A leading IT company are looking to add a multifaceted Oracle DBA as soon as possible to their data team for a 6 month contract with a high possibility for extension beyond this.

A candidate with a strong track record of contracting previously and an interest in migration projects will be successful in applying for this job. This project will look great on a CV as it's with a real IT powerhouse.

Day to DayYou will be joining the current IT function as a Oracle DBA expert contributing to all phases of the consulting lifecycle. You will be intensely involved in defining the problem, propose and refining the solution. You will also play an important role in the development of solution, where you can shape implementation from the ground up. You will guide teams on project processes, deliverables and contribute to the proposal development, internal capability-building and help detail the project scope. You will have the opportunity to shape value-adding consulting solutions that will enable the company to meet their changing needs.

Your main project will be the Oracle migration project. The system has been set up already with Weblogic/RMAN/RAC and it will be your job maintain, tune and optimise this area alongside the migration project.

Skills/Experience:3 years+ experience delivering solutions, working with:
  • Oracle DBA (10c, 11g, 12c)
  • Weblogic
  • RMAN
  • ASM
  • RAC and OEM
  • PL/SQL
