Introduction / BackgroundThe Senior Operations Manager position I am current working on is with a renowned manufacturer of Precision tooling products for the Pharmaceutical industry among others, based in Nottingham. It has a solid customer base and a highly specialist product line, both of which it is looking to develop in the coming years, meaning it provides exceptional opportunities to build a long term career for the successful candidate.
Accountabilities
As part of the Senior Management team, the Senior Operations Manager will report to directly to the Board and will have full accountability for the operational activities and revenue of the UK business (c. £17m t/o). The Senior Operations Manager will be an independent and driven senior manager with the ability to lead a business in achieving its ambitious medium to long-term plans.
Experience / Qualifications
Candidates should have a strong senior management background, ideally within a precision machining and tooling organisation which supplies specialist products. They should also have the gravitas and experience to manage a multi disciplined team through from operational functions (manufacturing, engineering, production control etc.) to sales and marketing teams whilst providing input and assistance to the other members of the management team in forming overall company strategies and making more general business decisions.
Key Skills and Experience
- At least 5 years' experience in a Senior Management
- Ideally further management qualifications and/or equivalent experience.
- Background in engineering with a detailed understanding of Precision tooling.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Working within a highly regulated environment
Salary & Benefits Package
The overall package will include a basic salary in the region of £50-£60K
