My client in Philadelphia is looking for a Software developer with 100% experience of Scala for a long term contract.
MUST HAVES:
- Scala 100%
- Pure Back End Role
- Not looking for someone who is building UI Front End and just doing reporting J2EE does not apply
- Experience working on the Cloud/AWS
- Web services REST not SOAP scaling solutions with multiple data centers
- Exp working with distributed systems
- Knows how to build applications for iPhone android and TV.
Job Description:
Designs, develops, and implements web-based Java applications to support business requirements. Follows approved life cycle methodologies, creates design documents, and performs program coding and testing. Resolves technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Java and Scala experience required.
JAVA, OOO, restful svcs, Agile environment, Spring MVC, Apache, Tomcat, Linux, JDBC, Cassandra, SCALA, open source env'ts, working collaboratively with QA and Operations teams
