About the customer:

Our client is a member-owned cooperative that provides the communications platform, products and services to connect more than 10,800 banking organizations, securities institutions and corporate customers in over 200 countries and territories. Our client enables its users to exchange automated, standardized financial information securely and reliably, thereby lowering costs, reducing operational risk and eliminating operational inefficiencies. They also bring the financial community together to work collaboratively to shape market practice, define standards and debate issues of mutual interest. They is headquartered in Belgium and have over 24 offices worldwide.

About the position:
For the launch of their new website in Q4 2015 we are looking for a highly motivated and experienced 'web editor-in-chief'.
The position is a newly created position and in line with the complete revamp of the current website and redefinition of our client's web content strategy. Our client's new website will come with a completely new UI architecture, modern design and reworked copy in order to guarantee a better visitor experience across the site.

Main tasks of the 'web editor-in-chief' during build up:
- contribute to the set up of the new site (go live date January 2016)
- agree on rules, processes and policies for governance of the new site in cooperation with important stakeholders across the company
- build an editorial board

Additional tasks as of launch date:
- coordinate content production and publishing in coordination with the various stakeholders and in line with our client's content strategy
- contribute to the production of web content; help adapt content for web usage
- assure the development of the site is in line with the new content strategy
- work with content owners in order to assure content is dynamic, relevant and accurate
- assure continuous reporting (based on Google Analytics) on the performance of the site and use the information out of reports for future recommendations

Skills/Profile/Expertise:
- Professional experience in communication, journalism, e-communication, marketing or e-marketing
- professional experience of at least 5 years, with a majority in a web/web publisher/editor role
- experience in the definition and execution of web content strategy
- experience in web usability and ergonomics
- knowledge of one or several CMS mandatory, knowledge of Drupal is an asset
- knowledge of HTML
- excellent editorial/web copywriting skills in English (level needs to be native or close to native)
- good knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics, able to make reports and interpret them
- experience in managing complex projects, with numerous stakeholders within a Matrix environment

- charismatic and self-confident, showing a good combination of drive and facilitation skills
- quick learner, showing a proven track record of taking on new skills at a fast pace and capable of self-learning
