Mission
As an Outsystems Professional Developer
- You develop based on the requirements provided by the functional analyst of your team so that you meet the acceptance criteria of the requirements;
- You develop according the coding standards in place, respecting the well-defined software architecture and design;
- You consider also non-functional requirements during your development in cooperation with the rest of team (eg maintainability, user-friendliness, performance);
- You propose alternatives to optimize the existing application in term of maintainability, usability, performance,
- You contribute to the definition of the technical specifications;
- You develop on different applications in the same domain;
- You develop small and big business enhancements for large projects leading to major releases;
- You solve productions issues in the framework of an emergency fixes;
- You define, execute and constantly improve unit testing;
- You execute peer review of your pairs in the team;
- You demonstrate the results of your developments to the functional analyst and tester in your team;
- You provide support to the tester of the team;
- You cooperate with your pairs from other teams when application interfaces are concerned;
- You deploy applications in different environments under your control;
- You describe the deployment procedure (and according configuration) so that the operational teams can deploy and configure the application for the acceptance and production environments;
- You are part of a team working in Agile/Scrum mode;
- You report to the team lead.
Skills
Expected Skills and experiences:
- You have a strong experience in Outsystems Platform development (at least 3 years);
- You can also develop specific components (webservices, API's) in .NET using Visual Studio 2010 (C# more specifically);
- You have a good knowledge of French or Dutch and are fluent in English (oral and written);
- You are self-starter able to work proactively and work independently but also as a team player in complex project organizations;
- You have excellent communication skills (verbally and written) on all levels with the ability to articulate to both technical and non-technical audiences, both internal to the company as external;
- You have a good analytical and conceptual thinking and are problem solving;
- You can easily and simply explain complex business or technical subjects;
- You are capable of multitasking & prioritizing in a fast paced and agile work environment;
- You have a good experience with Agile projects;
- You are flexible and focus on the defined priorities.
- You take particular attention to details and are precise and rigorous in your work;
- Added-value experiences
The following experiences will be an advantage:
- Knowledge of the electricity/power energy sector with related experience;
- Knowledge in project management methodologies (Agile/scrum in particular);
- Knowledge of Team Foundation Server for Outsystems development;
- Knowledge in automated unit testing for Outsystems development;
- Outsystems Professional Developer certification or proven experience
- Knowledge of Java, CSS
