Our Software Engineers partner with our creative team to help bring innovative marketing programs to life for our clients. This role is for the enthusiastic developer who is fluent in web technologies and has real-world experience programming in WordPress, PHP and JavaScript.

The Software Engineer participates in all phases of the development cycle for clients’ projects – they are responsible for building and maintaining interactive multi-tiered web applications and programs, as well as integration, testing and documentation. Our Software Engineers are highly analytical and adept at solving complex problems. They report directly to our VP, Technology.

Requirements:
  • BA/BS, Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics preferred.
  • 3-5 years of web programming experience; experience working in a digital agency environment is a plus.
  • Must be skilled in WordPress and PHP, with demonstrated experience developing custom themes and/ or plugins.
  • Experience with modern JavaScript libraries/frameworks like jQuery, Backbone, Angular, etc
  • Familiarity with mySQL
  • Experience with CSS, preferably using SCSS, SASS or equivalet
  • Experience with Git source code management.
  • Comfortable deploying in Linux environment. System administration experience a plus.
  • Capable of identifying potential design issues and providing workarounds
  • Capable of estimating development time and managing time appropriately across multiple tasks
  • Strong communication skills and experience partnering with cross-capability teams
  • Additional experience with Python or Ruby on Rails is a plus
