Description
We are looking for a Senior ABAP Webdynpro Developer/UI Architect who should have worked on design and development of complex webdynpro application using ABAP Webdynpro, Floor Plan Manager and POWL. Proficiency in working with ABAP OO is a must and must be comfortable with designing and working with different OO design patterns. It is also desirable for the resource to have an overview of SAP Portal and integration of WD applications in Portal.
This person will work in the Development team for Merchandising area to design and develop custom objects which include medium and high complexity webdynpro applications. Should have good communication skills and the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into design.
Any experience of SAPUI5 or skills in HTML5/Javascript will be an advantage.
Responsibilities
Interact with Application Experts and Business to gather requirements.
Work with Architects to create detailed design and estimates based on the requirements.
Responsible for design and development of all ABAP Webdynpro or changes to existing applications in the Merchandising area.
Analyze the impact of any new requirements and identify issues well in advance and suggest best approaches.
Develop according to best practices and defined standards.
Ability to break larger developments to modular and efficient solutions to maximize scalability and performance.
Coordinate with the members of the development team for solution realization and participate, as necessary, in coding, testing, documentation, go-live and maintenance support activities.
Working with other members in the team to develop larger developments which require help from multiple resources.
Identify and propose possible Improvements in the existing Webdynpro Applications and implement the same.
Create/update documentation such as Functional and Technical Specifications.
Conduct code and solution reviews of development objects
Create test specifications and conduct unit tests of own and others development objects and integrations.
Help the AM team to resolve urgent and complex fixes.
Understand new technology and solutions that are launched on the market place.
Participate and drive trainings required to build the knowledge of the AD and AM team in one's area of expertise.
Communicate status, progress and issues efficiently with team lead and other stakeholders.
Competences
Atleast 8-10 years of experience SAP ABAP Development with strong software development and architectural skills.
Atleast 5-7 years of experience of development in ABAP Webdynpro (including FPM and POWL)
Atleast 5-7 years of experience in working with ABAP OO and different design patterns in OO programming.
Good understanding of the Business Requirements and ability to translate them to Solution Implementation and Deliverables.
Basic understanding of UML/Technical Architecture Model.
Basic understanding of SAP Portal and integration of ABAP Webdynpro into SAP Portal.
SAP Retail and experience from the Retail industry segment will be an advantage.
Experience with SAP UI5 or skills in HTML5 and Javascript will be an advantage.
