Description
Our client needs an expert senior ETL developer for a 3 month contract + extension to be based in Brussels.
The suitable expert will be required to focus on a major architectural project using ETL and will be required to assist with the following:
- Performs high-level architectural planning and proof-of-concept
- Defines and implements standards, shared components and approaches
- Assures architectural integrity keeping in mind the long-term objectives of the enterprise
- Maintains compliance with change control, SDLC and development standards
- Estimate volume requirements
- Install/configure Softwares
- Provide cost and time estimates
- Determine the optimal approach for obtaining data from diverse source system platforms and moving it to target systems.
- Coach ETL specialists on data acquisition techniques and how to apply them
- Estimate system capacity to meet near- and long-term processing requirements.
- Evaluate and select ETL tool
- Interface with DBA & systems operations staff.
- Monitor ETL usage capture and maintenance of metrics
- Define and get agreement with support and IT operations personnel on service level agreements.
- Mentor, Coach and Train new members as well as juniors members to quickly bring them up to speed
- Hands on (Web Services, MQ, Copybook, XML)
The project language is English although a suitable consultant who can speak wither French or Dutch is an advantage but not mandatory.
