Description
Proteus Europe is currently looking for an Optoelectronic Design Engineer for analogue and mixed signal semiconductor product range. Our client has a position for an engineer with strong experience of designing analogue/mixed signal IC products through the full product development cycle, from concept through to high volume manufacture. Primarily designing opto-electronic ICs in pure CMOS (also SiGe BiCMOS) for Datacoms applications.Responsibilities
· Design of integrated circuit products from concept to manufacture
· Understand block level design and how blocks interact/interface to other blocks and chip top level
· Support analysis for product feasibility, schedule, and costs
· Detailed transistor level circuit design and layout at a block level
· Preparation of technical reviews and design documentation
· Work within a design team and potentially mentor other team members
· Work with a cross functional team to deliver IC Products, supporting Marketing, Sales,
Applications, Product/Test Engineering, etc.
Experience
· A proven track record in analogue mixed signal IC product development
· Strong design experience in high speed CMOS and BiCMOS technologies
· Analogue/mixed signal IC design for products that have gone to high volume manufacture
· Knowledge of IC design tools, especially the Cadence environment
· Ideally will have experience in optoelectronic products such as laser drivers, transimpedance/limiting amplifiers up to and beyond 10Gbit/s - although not essential since analogue/mixed signal skills readily transfer from other high frequency/high bit rate areas
· Good interpersonal and communication skills
· Over 5 years of experience with at least a Bachelor's degree in electronics or associated subject
