Senior Java Developer w/Splunk - 6 Month Contract, South Dublin
Senior Java Developer w/Splunk Role and Responsibilities:
- Our client is looking for a Senior Java Developer w/Splunk experience to work on site with a Financial Service client
Responsibilities:
- Support the Head of Payments IT in the establishment of a market-leading IT Payments services capability to service internal and external consumers of clients Payments services.
- Deliver tailored results leveraging your technical competency and industry knowledge.
- Establish & develop strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
- Identify/anticipate Business needs above beyond explicit project-level requests
Required:
- This role requires a senior Splunk analyst/developer candidate with Financial Services industry experience
- Strong knowledge of Splunk
- Effectiveness in listening and understanding business objectives and translating this knowledge into coded solutions
- Be able to understand and work with industry-standard architecture and design artifacts, models and notations eg UML, BPMN2
- Good knowledge of JavaScript/JavaEE programming and standards
- Familiarity with design patterns such as MVC, EJBs, IOC, Factory
- An understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) eg Waterfall (Iterative), Agile (Kanban),
- Strong overall development background (Java, JSP, HTML, python) - 6 years minimum
- Minimum 2 years Splunk experience with Splunk training completed
- Experience with complex Splunk dashboards, event correlation, regex, scheduling, event types, development best practice
- Ideally trained to Architect level with experience of Splunk deployments, configuration files, line breaking
- Sound knowledge of SQL and RDBMS databases
