Description

Ops Engineer.

One of our market leading clients is urgently looking for an Ops Engineer.

The successful Ops Engineer will initially be responsible for the stability of the personal application, identify application and system-related problems and take the lead in resolving incidents. General tasks include monitoring, management, study, test, and run the application. You will monitor proactively the technical behaviour and performance through all aspects of the entire stack to prevent problems and contribute to the realization of all activities in the backlog. The following components are as important to:

  • Agile methodology.
  • Deploying and running of Production system, Provide Level 2 support for your application.
  • Specify, design, and execute performance and acceptance tests (including High Availability and Disaster Recovery Tests) with the help of the Dev Engineer.
  • Specifying, designing, testing and deployment of the runtime scripts (eg stop/start/purge/backup).
  • Specifying, designing, testing and deployment of rollback scripts.
  • You configure and deploy Monitoring Tooling

Knowledge and experience

  • Multi-tier applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of databases, application Servers and operating systems.
  • Understanding and knowledge of detailed 'technical behaviour' own system in normal and peak load.
  • Experience with the lead to take risks with regard to performance of the application after changes releases.
  • Understanding and technical knowledge of the 'whole stack where the application runs on.
  • Understand how your application fits into the chain where it is part of.
  • You are fluent in at least one Scripting language and you have development knowledge of software.
  • Familiar with automation Testing and Deployment.
  • Experience of working in an Agile organization.
  • HBO/WO education level, with an IT background.
  • Certification and/or demonstrated proficiency in one or more high level programming languages.
  • Clean coding or industrial logic course.

Additional requirements:

  • Be prepared to walk on 24x7 standby (once every five weeks)
  • willing to do in MING window entries
  • A preference for Dutch-speaking candidates

Contract: 6 months + Option to extend.

Location: North Holland

Rates: Excellent.
