Senior Network Engineer, F5 Load Balancer
The project scope is to review the customer business in several areas, and provide recommendations that could ensure network short and long term stability.
The tasks are the following;
Identify, request and gather the needed information from the customer in order to perform a network design analysis (Data Centre Core, LAN and MPLS WAN) (Primarily Cisco, Nexus - F5 LB, ASA).
Identify, request and gather the needed information from the customer in order to perform a Firewall design analysis (Checkpoint 4400 and 12600, Virtual Contexts).
Perform a network and Firewall design analysis based on the received material and other collected information, and provide recommendations for optimisation and redesign if/where needed. All findings and recommendations are expected to be documented in details.
Collaborate with Solution Architects in relation to DHCP and test environments where relevant.
Collaborate with Management consultants where relevant in relation to their review of customer organisation, skills, governance, processes and communication issues.
Participate in a project team with 2 Solution Architects (Reviewing test environments and DHCP issues), and 2 Management consultants (Leading project, Reviewing customer organisation, skills, governance, processes and communication issues).
Provide assistance with implementation of findings and recommendations into project reporting and presentation material.
Participate in presentations about findings and recommendations in front of customer management and internally.
Re-present and report
The ideal candidate for this role, should have the following skill set;
- Seasoned Network Consultant/Analyst with many years experience in the field.
- Data Centre Core, LAN, MPLS WAN
- Cisco, Nexus
- 5F Load Balancer, ASA
- Checkpoint
- DHCP
- Reporting/Documentation
- Fluent Business level English
- Ability to work on-site 75% of the time
