Contract Constructive Simulations Engineer based in Poland

16 Nov 2015 until 15 May 2016 (or upon a date of contract award, whichever is the later) and up to 115 man-days

NATO SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED

Key responsibilities and tasks:

  • Support CAX team through generating/modifying/configuring JCATS centric constructive simulations to participate in VJTF related exercises.
  • Participate in the exercise planning process
  • Support training operators in executing the simulation portion of exercise.
  • Maintain constructive computer simulations during the exercise execution,
  • Integrate database development into constructive simulations for training events
  • Capture lessons identified/learned related to constructive simulation in the exercise process from planning through execution to after-action analysis
  • Provide simulations expertise and participate in experiments and testing of new tools and upgrades in the M&S environment
  • All other tasks associated with construction simulations operating and management

Essential Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in; conducting JCATS centric constructive simulation exercises, in a military environment.
  • Specific experience with JCATS, VBS3 modelling and simulations systems
  • Good knowledge of relationships and dependencies between database systems and Modelling & Simulation systems such as JCATS, VBS3
  • Ability to effectively capture and communicate requirements of the constructive simulations creation process in support of M&S based exercise and training
  • Ability to explain the requirements to non-technical personnel and to effectively cooperate with them in information gathering process
  • Experience in developing technical documentation
  • Knowledge and experience in modern operating system administration and architectures
  • Working knowledge of standard network environment concepts and tools, such as SMTP, Web Servers and clients, TCP/IP, DNS
  • Experience integrating constructive simulations into a Federation sending data to NATO FAS/C2 and EXCON tools
  • Familiar with Information and knowledge management techniques

Education

Degree in Computer Science, CIS Engineering or similar, preferably with database-oriented profile and must have completed certified JCATS course in the last two years

Native English language speaker or individual presenting very good command of spoken and written English
