Description

We are looking for a consultant to review the solutions delivery Support model within ICT and produce a report with a recommendation on what model would best serve the Organisation (This is not a technical role). The role will be based in Rome and will be for a period of 5 -10 days

Duties and responsibilities

Under the supervision of the ICT Solutions Coordinator, ICT, and the project manager, the incumbent will deliver a proposal for the structuring of the Solutions team Delivery unit to provide support of existing enterprise applications. The incumbent will analyse the current organizational structure, how support requests originate, how they are treated and resolved. After an initial review of preliminary findings, the incumbent should develop a model of the optimal organizational model for the group, and the provide recommendations on how to prioritize work between development and support given identified limitations (eg. budget, staff numbers), the existing skill sets and the nature and extent of the organisation's needs.

The incumbent will:

  • Assess and analyse ICT Solution Delivery unit's existing Support model
  • Assess and analyse the process of creating, escalating, managing and resolving issues
  • Meet with key stakeholders
  • Identify an organizational and business processes support model that would best serve the organisation's needs
  • Present management with a strategic plan for adopting/adapting to preferred model

Professional requirements

Qualification and experience

  • Background in IT/Operations Management/Business Analysis/Strategic Transformation or related discipline with professional work experience
  • Proven experience moving an organization into an ITIL application support model
  • Proven experience of conducting reviews of Business Processes, in particular an Application Support team
  • Participatory approaches in conducting assessments and facilitating strategic planning processes
  • Ability to write clearly and present and defend your ideas with confidence

  • Communicator - ability to actively engage with stakeholders in a meaningful and objective way. Also, can convey ideas in clear and succinct manner.
  • Planner and Organiser - you prioritize and organize the work (consultants) for effective delivery within the proposed timeline.
  • Performer - you demonstrate success in the delivering on project scope

Languages

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English essential.
