HonkMobile is looking to change the way that the parking operates both for consumers and operators. The idea at its core is simple, allow consumers to pay for parking via their smartphones. The execution of that idea is what separates us. We have significant traction, VC backed and growth is accelerating.

About you

Someone excited to join an early stage startup and help take it to the next level.

Self-motivated, self disciplined and passionate about their craft. Someone that works well with a high level of autonomy and takes ownership of their work.

Comfortable with the traversing the entire stack from server administration to front end caching strategies.

Several years experience with building rich Javascript based applications.

Several years experience in using dynamic languages like Ruby or Python.

Bonus points

Experience with building React native applications.

Devops and/or Linux administration.

Experience with developing native mobile applications.

What you will do
You will be an integral part of the engineering team, helping building the foundation as we grow and bring on more people to help us. You will help lead the design, architecting and building the next generation of our platform. Projects will range from building/scaling a Rails API backend, building React native mobile applications to enabling smartphone communication with 3rd party hardware.

Location
We have an office in Toronto but we have a mix of team members that are fully remote and semi-remote. At this time we are looking for Canadian based candidates.
