Finance Manager - 6 Month Contract - Immediate Start

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, proactive Finance Manager to join our accounts team in Hillington, Glasgow on a 6 month contract. The ideal candidate will have overall responsibility of our Enabling Functions financial team, ensuring timely and accurate analysis, consolidation and reporting.

Key Requirements

  • responsible for preparing timely and accurate monthly management accounts and other financial and management reports at Construction centre level, complying with all relevant accounting policies and requirement
  • accounting for, reporting and forecasting of overheads
  • credit control
  • normal account reconciliation and inter-company balance confirmations
  • preparing recharges and sundry invoices
  • month-end cut-off routine
  • Hyperion input of management accounts and fiscal packs
  • raising and resolving CSC queries
  • review of fixed asset registers
  • authorise urgent payments
  • preparing/consolidating cash forecasts - weekly and quarterly
  • responsible for review and submission of relevant fiscal packs, tax packs and SAO submissions
  • act as custodian of financial processes, controls and procedures
  • act as a financial partner to the executive leadership team and all the Enabling function directors to ensure all financial issues are robustly and effectively managed and reported
  • Support operational management to drive business performance to achieve agreed targets.
  • manage the balance sheet, cash flow and credit control routines in accordance with CSUK and Group policy
  • accountable for accurate cash flow forecasting
  • ensure risk is effectively managed and reported
  • prepare budgets, Strategic Road Map and forecasts for the Enabling Functions
  • analyse and report on key business financial information for the Enabling Functions
  • provide constructive challenge and input into review meetings to ensure that issues and risks are identified, reported and addressed
  • be proactive in identifying "weak signals" and leading indicators that may result in budget variances
  • undertake ad-hoc reporting and analysis

You

The successful individual will be a qualified accountant, with an ability to interact and influence senior leadership teams. Strong technical ability is required to ensure exemplary reporting standards are maintained via Oracle. The individual will possess strong interpersonal and influencing skills, since regular interaction will be required with internal stakeholders. A customer focused mind set is essential for success at this level. This is a hands on role where attention to detail and the need to "roll the sleeves up" has to be coupled with being able to see the bigger picture.
