Group Enterprise Architect - Infrastructure

Purpose of the role

The primary function of the Enterprise Architect is to shape and drive the evolution of current and future technology capabilities within my client by leading the enterprise architecture within the Infrastructure domain. The Enterprise Architect will work closely with the Global and Local Architecture & Strategy teams to define, develop and deliver the overall technology strategy, target states and associated roadmaps.

Deliverables/Tasks
*Ownership of the development and delivery of an Ingenico-wide strategy for the infrastructure domain, maintaining integrity and reliability across all systems and processes
*Define and maintain an overarching infrastructure architecture target state and roadmap; ensure that the solutions and technologies employed are in accordance with best practice and meet the current and future business needs
*Influence, co-ordinate and support new systems and technology adoption to ensure it is consistent with business and technology strategy
*Act as subject matter expert on technology solutions in the market place to meet business needs
*Identify and engage external and internal expertise to support the definition and delivery of infrastructure solutions, using own network and research to source appropriate guidance and advice
*Conduct research and studies on emerging technologies to support business initiatives and increase cost effectiveness and flexibility
*Maintain knowledge of global developments in payment services in order to deliver appropriate solutions to industry changes and demands
*Able to build rapport and working relationships with the business quickly, not only seen as a 'trusted advisor' but as someone that delivers as well.
*A good understanding and ability to communicate the strategy & vision for the Infrastructure landscape
Critical Competencies
*A good understanding of the complexities of the infrastructure required within a payment industry is highly desirable.
*Ability to understand and articulate the Infrastructure technology solutions required within a high-availability (24x7) and complex payments environment.
*The ability to communicate with executive stakeholders, in particular to deliver difficult messages during times of high transformational focus
*Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills

Experience
*Infrastructure Architecture experience in the following domains is desirable;
oDatacentre designs
oDeep understanding of network architectures and topologies
oBroad overview of IT security issues and expectations
oDeep understanding of database, storage and data replication concerns.
oAppreciation of new technologies and their application such as Cloud opportunities, Virtual
oMachines, new storage capabilities, remote desktop and support,
*An understanding of the application of various sourcing models such as in- sourcing and outsourcing and the benefits and disadvantages,
*Experience of driving technology led change in large sized organisations
*Experience as an architect and a leader in defining and implementing IT strategy and architecture frameworks and maintaining IT strategy and architecture assets
*Experience of architectural methodologies and models such as TOGAF

Other significant role requirements
*Education in Information technology at bachelor or master level
*Experience in the payments industry is strongly preferred
*Experience with using and implementing TOGAF based Architecture frameworks
*Experience with Service Orientated and Event Driven Architecture
*Experience with mobile payments technologies
*Deep experience with leading architectures for large (5M+) transformation programs
*Deep knowledge and Experience of API driven architectures
*Specialized skills in one of Big Data Technologies, API management, High Availability services

Technical Knowledge
*TOGAF, Zachman, BPMN
